מי אנחנו

Homie היא אפליקציית בית בהרצה עצמית — בדיוק כמו Home Assistant או Nextcloud: אין שרת מרכזי אחד שכל המשתמשים מתחברים אליו. כל פריסה (שרת) מוקמת ומופעלת באופן עצמאי על ידי מי שמריץ אותה, עבור משק הבית שלו בלבד. מדיניות זו מתארת איך שרת Homie מטפל בנתונים בכלל; מפתח האפליקציה (עומר דוד) מפעיל בעצמו שתי פריסות — האחת עבור משפחתו, והשנייה שרת הדגמה ציבורי לניסיון — אך אינו מפעיל, שולט, או ניגש לנתונים בשום פריסה אחרת שמישהו אחר מקים ומריץ בעצמו.

אילו נתונים נאספים

• זהות — דרך "Sign in with Apple" בלבד: מזהה קבוע וייחודי שאפל מספקת, ושם התצוגה שבחרתם לשתף. כתובת אימייל אינה נאספת כלל — האפליקציה אינה מבקשת אותה בתהליך ההתחברות.
• אסימון התראות מכשיר — לצורך שליחת התראות Push (למשל, כשנוצר סקר ארוחת שישי חדש).
• תוכן שאתם או שאר משתמשי הפריסה מזינים — פריטי רשימת קניות, אפשרויות/הצבעות בסקרים, הצעות לשיפור האפליקציה, ויומן פעולות על מכשירי הבית החכם (מזגן, בוילר) הכולל מי ביצע כל פעולה. כל זה גלוי רק למשתמשים המאושרים באותה פריסה, לא לגורם חיצוני.
• בעת שימוש בייבוא מתכונים או סיווג פריטים בעזרת AI — הטקסט, התמונה או הקישור שתשלחו מועברים לעיבוד ישירות אצל Anthropic (Claude) ו/או Google (Gemini), רק לצורך אותה פעולה ספציפית. ברוב הפריסות זה נעשה באמצעות מפתח API שהזנתם בעצמכם בהגדרות האפליקציה, הנשמר במכשיר שלכם בלבד (Keychain) — לא נשלח למפתח האפליקציה ולא נשמר בשום שרת. בחלק מהפריסות, מי שמנהל את השרת יכול להגדיר מפתח ברמת השרת במקום זאת ("מוגדר על ידי השרת" בהגדרות) — במקרה כזה, אותו מפתח משמש את כל המשתמשים המאושרים בפריסה, ומנוהל על ידי מנהל אותה פריסה.
• מיקום GPS, לצורך תחזית מזג האוויר — באישורכם בהגדרות המכשיר, קואורדינטות המיקום הנוכחי נשלחות ישירות מהמכשיר אל Apple WeatherKit — שירות מזג האוויר של Apple עצמה, אותה תשתית של Sign in with Apple וה-Push Notifications, לא גורם שלישי חיצוני — לצורך קבלת התחזית לאותו מיקום בלבד. הקואורדינטות אינן נשלחות למפתח האפליקציה ואינן נשמרות בשום שרת — רק שם עיר (המתקבל מ-Apple, לתצוגה בלבד) נשמר על המכשיר שלכם.

מה לא נאסף

אין מזהי פרסום, אין כלי מעקב או אנליטיקה, אין גישה לאנשי קשר. מיקום GPS משמש רק לתחזית מזג האוויר כמתואר למעלה — לא לשום מטרה אחרת, ולא נשמר בשום שרת. הנתונים לעולם לא נמכרים, ולא משותפים עם גורמי פרסום או "סוחרי מידע" (data brokers) — בשום פריסה.

איך הנתונים משמשים

אך ורק להפעלת התכונות של האפליקציה עבור המשתמשים המאושרים בפריסה הספציפית שאליה התחברתם — ניהול הבית החכם, רשימת הקניות המשותפת, סקרים, והתראות רלוונטיות. שום שימוש נוסף.

איפה הנתונים נשמרים

על השרת שהפריסה הספציפית שלכם רצה עליו — מנוהל על ידי מי שהקים אותה (יכול להיות מפתח האפליקציה, או כל אדם אחר שמפעיל שרת Homie משלו), ולא ענן ציבורי צד־שלישי משותף. בנוסף לכך, תשתיות Sign in with Apple, Push Notifications ו-WeatherKit של אפל עצמה, הכפופות למדיניות הפרטיות של אפל.

מחיקת נתונים

ניתן למחוק את החשבון והנתונים האישיים שלכם בכל עת, ישירות מתוך האפליקציה: הגדרות ← מחיקת החשבון שלי. זה מיידי ואינו דורש פנייה לאף אחד. תוכן משותף שתרמתם (למשל פריטי רשימת קניות, היסטוריית הצבעות) לא נמחק יחד עם החשבון — הוא נשאר עבור שאר משתמשי הפריסה, פשוט בלי ייחוס אליכם.

לבקשות נוספות: אם אתם מחוברים לאחת הפריסות שמפעיל מפתח האפליקציה (הפריסה המשפחתית או שרת ההדגמה הציבורי), ניתן לפנות בכתובת המייל בתחתית העמוד. אם אתם מחוברים לפריסה שמישהו אחר מריץ, יש לפנות למי שמנהל אותה — למפתח האפליקציה אין גישה לנתונים שם כלל.

קטינים

האפליקציה עצמה אינה כוללת פרסום או מעקב מכל סוג שהוא כלפי אף משתמש, כולל קטינים, בשום פריסה. אם משק בית מסוים כולל קטינים המשתמשים באפליקציה, האחריות על אישור השימוש שלהם היא של מי שמנהל את אותה פריסה ספציפית.

Who we are

Homie is a self-hosted home app — like Home Assistant or Nextcloud, there's no single central server every user connects to. Each deployment (server) is set up and operated independently by whoever runs it, for their own household only. This policy describes how a Homie server handles data in general; the app's developer (Omer David) personally operates two deployments — one for his own family, and a public demo server anyone can try — but does not operate, control, or have access to data on any other deployment someone else sets up and runs themselves.

What data is collected

• Identity — via Sign in with Apple only: a stable, unique identifier Apple provides, and the display name you choose to share. Email is never requested or collected — the sign-in flow does not ask for it.
• Device push token — to deliver push notifications (e.g. when a new Friday-dinner poll is created).
• Content you or other users of the deployment enter — shopping list items, poll options/votes, feature suggestions, and an activity log of smart-home actions (AC, water heater) including who performed each one. All of this is visible only to approved users of that same deployment, never to an outside party.
• When using recipe import or AI categorization — the text, photo, or link you send is processed directly by Anthropic (Claude) and/or Google (Gemini), for that specific action only. On most deployments this uses an API key you enter yourself in the app's Settings, stored only on your own device (Keychain) — never sent to the app's developer or stored on any server. On some deployments, whoever administers the server can configure a server-level key instead ("Configured by this server" in Settings) — in that case, the same key is used for every approved user of that deployment, managed by that deployment's own administrator.
• GPS location, for the weather forecast — with your device permission, your current coordinates are sent directly from your device to Apple WeatherKit — Apple's own weather service, the same infrastructure as Sign in with Apple and Push Notifications, not an outside third party — solely to get the forecast for that location. Coordinates are never sent to the app's developer or stored on any server — only a city name (looked up via Apple, for display only) is stored on your own device.

What is not collected

No advertising identifiers, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no contacts access. GPS location is used only for the weather forecast described above — for no other purpose, and never stored on any server. Data is never sold or shared with advertisers or data brokers — on any deployment.

How data is used

Solely to operate the app's own features for the approved users of the specific deployment you're connected to — smart-home control, the shared shopping list, polls, and relevant notifications. Nothing else.

Where data is stored

On the server your specific deployment runs on — operated by whoever set it up (which may be the app's developer, or any other person running their own Homie server), not a shared third-party public cloud platform. Alongside that, Apple's own Sign in with Apple, Push Notification, and WeatherKit infrastructure, governed by Apple's own privacy practices.

Data deletion

You can delete your own account and personal data at any time, from inside the app: Settings → Delete My Data. This is immediate and does not require contacting anyone. Shared content you contributed (e.g. shopping list items, poll history) is not deleted along with your account — it stays intact for the rest of that deployment's users, simply without attribution to you.

For anything else: if you're connected to a deployment the app's developer operates (the family deployment or the public demo server), you can contact the email address at the bottom of this page. If you're connected to a deployment someone else runs, contact whoever administers that deployment instead — the app's developer has no access to data there at all.

Children

The app itself includes no advertising or tracking of any kind for any user, including children, on any deployment. If a particular household's deployment is used by minors, approving that use is the responsibility of whoever administers that specific deployment.
